In 2022, I returned to painting after taking two years off during the Covid-19 pandemic. My two year break helped me to recenter and gather inspiration for a new painting style. My pieces became much brighter, and I transitioned from acrylic painting to mixed media work. I feel that these newer works more accurately reflect my personal artistic style. Additionally, near the end of 2022 I experimented with the same botanical motifs from my mixed media paintings on my ceramics.
